Legal Assistant
We have a vacancy for a legal assistant at Claire Davies, Advocate. We are a compact and dynamic family law firm focused on providing the highest level of client service in both private and public law matters.
This role is a permanent part time role (20 hours per week) with flexible working available. This role would suit someone studying towards a legal qualification or contemplating doing so. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of our work including:
- Case management
- Client management
- Drafting
- Legal research
- Court attendance and note taking
- Archiving and filing
- General administration
The candidate will also be exposed to the mechanics of running a law firm including billing, fee recovery, client account management, regulatory requirements etc.
Key skills
The successful candidate will be working to deadlines, expected to maintain high standards of work under pressure, be organized and able to learn quickly. The candidate should be competent and comfortable using MS Office products (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Training on our practice management software will be provided. An excellent command of English and a reasonable level of numeracy are essential.
The candidate must be either entitled, entitled for work or have suitable provision for limited hours work on any student visa.
