Committee

The Law Society of Jersey’s main Committee comprises the following Jersey qualified lawyers.  Their roles are honorary and Committee members do not receive remuneration for the duties that they perform.

President - Advocate Rose Colley.  Rose is a partner at Viberts, where she specialises in Family law.

Secretary - Advocate Edward Drummond.  Edward is a partner at Bedell Cristin, where he specialises in litigation.

Treasurer - Alex Ohlsson.  Alex is Managing Partner of Carey Olsen specialising in corporate and finance law.

Development Officer - Advocate Simon Thomas.  Simon is responsible for professional development and is also chair of the Education and Legal Resources Sub Committee. He specialises in litigation and is a partner at Baker & Partners.

President of the Chambre des Ecrivains (Jersey Solicitors) - Tony del Amo.  Tony is a partner at Le Gallais & Luce.

Bâtonnier - Advocate Simon Young,  Simon represents the Island’s Advocates and is formally the head of the Jersey Bar.  Simon is a partner at Bois Bois and specialises in commercial litigation.
