From time to time, the Law Society of Jersey will comment on draft legislation to ensure that the views of its Members are represented, after consultation.
This is one of the objectives of the the Law Society of Jersey, as set out in Article 8 of The Law Society of Jersey Law 2005:

Reviewing and commenting on draft legislation also ensures that the legal profession can properly interpret and understand draft laws and, if necessary, the Law Society of Jersey will suggest helpful amendments to draft legislation on behalf of its Members.
