Corbett Le Quesne are looking to recruit an experienced lawyer to set up and manage a Wills and Probate department. Lawyers qualified in Jersey, England and Wales and other common law jurisdictions will be considered.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and to run matters as well as managing a successful team. They will also be required to assist with business development and marketing and provide high quality, timely legal advice on a range of probate matters.
Requirements:
Applicants must have detailed legal and technical knowledge in the probate field. The post holder will have experience of liaising with the Probate and Capacity Section of the Royal Court and dealing with local and international probate applications.
The post holder will also have experience of making applications to the Royal Court for the appointment of delegates (under the Capacity and Self-Determination (Jersey) Law 2016) and for managing and overseeing all matters relating to Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
Ideally, they will have an excellent academic record and a wealth of experience to draw upon. Experience gained at English law firms is valued, but not essential.
Ideally, you will have a right to work in Jersey, however a licensed position may be available to an ideal candidate.
