About the Role

The successful candidate will assist in the establishment and maintenance of an active portfolio of investment funds, corporate and finance work.

It is essential that the candidate will be extremely well organised and will be required to work in an environment where great importance is placed on following instructions and the ability to request assistance from other team members when a deal requires it.

The successful candidate will have exposure to some of the best legal work in the market and will work as part of, and be supported by, a highly successful, entrepreneurial and collegiate team. The candidate will also have a high level of client interaction, thus must possess strong communication skills (both written and oral), have extremely good attention to detail and be able to work comfortably in a professional environment with tight timetables and multiple deadlines.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting of deal documents from precedents
  • Drafting listing documents
  • Reviewing standard transaction documents from onshore counsel
  • Sensitivity to timing and responsiveness to client needs is key and diarising multiple signings and closings
  • Diarising and dealing with processes for multiple weekly closings
  • Maintaining a database of all transactions in progress and creating monthly deal flow lists
  • Monitoring receivables
  • Post-deal completion

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

This post requires significant attention to detail, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communications skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to internal policies and procedures.

  • Ideally able to commit to a minimum of 12 – 18 months' permanent employment
  • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid commercial background gained through experience at a reputed top tier firm or investment bank is preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service, problem solving and teamwork abilities
  • Effective communicator and confident in client interaction
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
