Legislation Editor
An exciting new senior post has been created within the Legislative Drafting Office. The Legislation Editor will have a key role in ensuring the quality and accessibility of Jersey legislation by both enhancing readability and eliminating errors in draft legislation and ensuring that completed legislation is kept up to date on the jerseylaw.je website.
Heading a small team of legislation clerks the Editor will also prepare consolidations of legislation and manage the database as well as being responsible for the executive running of the Legislative Drafting Office and developing and sustaining information management systems.
This is a non-legal post that nevertheless demands the highest standards when it comes to the preparation of legislation.
The successful candidate will have the highest standards of written English, strong computer skills and exceptional attention to detail, combined with the ability to stand his or her ground in interacting with senior lawyers.
