HSBC CIIoM Legal Department, based in Jersey, is recruiting an additional Legal Counsel for its expanding legal team based in Jersey. The role will primarily support our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business.
Role: Legal Counsel – Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB)
Qualification: Practising lawyer. Admission in Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man an advantage.
Experience: 4 Years PQE, min. 2 years of banking experience.
Availability: Immediate

HSBC CIIoM employs over 1200 staff and we are growing. Our businesses serve a diverse local and international client base including personal and corporate banking, private banking and trust related business. The HSBC CIIoM Legal Department, which currently has 6 permanent lawyers, is responsible for providing first class, proactive legal advice.
The role we are now recruiting for will be at the 4 years PQE level. The role will be involved in advising on a wide spectrum of legal issues affecting our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) business.
The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, have excellent academic credentials and first class legal experience in the retail banking sector. You will bring fun and energy to our lively team.
The CIIoM Legal team is integrated into the HSBC Global Legal Team. International career progression is encouraged.
