Associate - Litigation - Hatstone

We presently have a position for a litigation associate with two to five years PQE, ideally in Jersey however qualifications in England and Wales and other common law jurisdictions will be considered.

You will be expected to work independently and to run matters, as well as working as part of a team on larger matters.  You will also be required to assist with business development and marketing.

Responsibilities:

The ideal applicant will be able to work both independently and in a team environment.  You will provide high quality, timely legal advice on a range of contentious matters.  Experience of trust disputes and complex commercial disputes is an advantage.  Experience drafting pleadings and appearing in courts and tribunals is also an advantage.

Relevant assistance and training will be provided as necessary.

Requirements:

Ideally, you will have an excellent academic record and a wealth of experience to draw upon.  Experience gained at "top-tier" law firms is valued, but not essential.  Our focus is the personal qualities, skills and experience that you can bring to the role.

We expect excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional approach to work and sound commercial judgment.

Ideally, you will have a right to work in Jersey, however a licensed position may be available to an ideal candidate.
