Assistant Registrar of Probate and Protection

The Judicial Greffe wishes to recruit an Assistant Registrar of Probate and Protection.  Applicants must have at least A level standard education and ideally be a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.  Applicants should also have legal and technical knowledge in the Probate field and have experience of working within the legal profession.  The post holder will assist the Registrar of Probate in leading the Probate and Capacity Section which is responsible for dealing with local and international applications received from legal professionals, as well as applicants in person, for the grant of probate and/or letters of administration in relation to Jersey situs assets.  The post holder will also be responsible for assisting lay persons with regard to applications to Court for the appointment of delegates (under the Capacity and Self-Determination (Jersey) Law 2016) and for managing and overseeing all matters relating to Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).  The Judicial Greffe would be interested in receiving applications from people seeking a full time or part time position.
